We decided to take a trip to New Orleans today to celebrate Troy's birthday. The weather was really nice...of course a little balmy
but N.O. is always steaming.
Our first destination was Cafe DuMonde for some breakfast.
It was packed but it was worth it!
This isn't the greatest picture but look at the size of the coffee filter! Oh my! They do serve A LOT of coffee! I just noticed the employee checking out her phone...(I do have to say that is a pet-peeve of mine - employee's checking their texts while working but that's for another day).
A look at the cathedral...It was also the French Quarter Jazz Festival (or something like that). We heard cool jazz around us wherever we went. It was really cool! It was a nice added touch.

Lunch was delich! My HUGE muffeletta. Believe it or not but this is just half of it. The picture does not do justice to how big it really was. All in all we had a wonderful day! I just love spending time with my husband.

Oh how I miss the great food of New Orleans...Did you get your muffeletta from the "grocery store?" I think it's called Central Market...then to go eat it on the banks of the mighty Miss. wow!
