We have been discussing the name and it has been much harder than I ever anticipated. We would really like a family influence in her name. My grandmother's name is Mary (Mary Alice). My mother's name is Anne, as is my middle name. Those give us a good start. We hope to be close to deciding over the next few weeks.
I am WAY behind on the nursery! I'm not a big pink person but I would still like it to look like a little girls room. Apparently I have expensive taste too. I found two fabrics I loved - the first topped out at $248/yard and the other just over $200/yard. I mean really!!! Come on! I was just looking for something different and apparently they can charge you for it. Mom was so sweet - she said 'well, we can make a few pillows.' The hunt continues!
I found a great antique pine chest to be the changing table and I am going to use my jenny lind crib. As of now it will be mostly tan linen and white with a light coral/peach/pink accent fabric or two. I'll post pics as soon as I have swatches for advice. (PS - we have our house for sale and have a second showing coming up this week so who knows where the nursery will actually be in two months).
I just came across a great new show in HGTV! I love Sarah Richardson (one of the greats from Canada)! She has a new show called Sarah's house. She buys a house to flip and walks you through the process. Check it out here.

Excuse the goofy header but I am a big Olympic fan and thought it would something to look forward to in 2010!

I know her nursery will be beautiful! Can't wait to see pics of the fabrics. In no time, you will be picking out her "toddler" room :( That's what we are doing--hard to believe it. Goes by too fast! :(
