Headed to Lowes for Mary Brooke's first tree!
Her favorite whale came along!
We are living in a small apartment at my parents for a little while and the tree is up on a table so we bought the shortest tree we could find. This one was perfect! All of our decorations are in storage so we have tree with a contemporary spin on old fashion ornaments. MB and I made gingerbread ornaments in different shapes. They have made the house smell divine for weeks now and I hear it will last until Christmas! We also made one with her hand print that I cherish. I strung popcorn during the MSU/Arkansas game ..this was the most time consuming part! I only stuck myself 4 times.
My goal was to go simple and enjoy the process and I can honestly say I have enjoyed it so much!
Aww... MB's first tree! I remember taking Kenadie to Lowe's for her first tree in a snugli :) I would love to know the recipe for the gingerbread ornaments. When I was in Kindergarten... only 23 years ago!!! :) a mom made everyone in the class a cinnamon/gingerbread ornament and mine STILL smells :) It is on my tree now :)
